Today we're sharing a heartwarming story about a 10-year-old boy who wanted to support his sick grandfather by running 50 5ks in 50 days. His name is Niall McDermott and he's from San Francisco.
A 5k is about 3 miles, so he was running 3 miles 50 days in a row. That's a total of 150 miles. A 10-year-old ran 150 miles in 50 days, and it was all for his grandfather, who is currently suffering from lung cancer.
Not only did he run for his grandfather, but he also raised over $4,000 in funds, and donated it to the Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation.
