The Home Medical Equipment (HME) Liaison serves patients by working with hospital based referral partners on the transition of patients from the hospital to the home. This is done by receiving, qualifying, and processing referrals on-site. Once admitted to our service, the HME Liaison coordinates equipment being delivered to patient homes and provides some limited in-hospital equipment and service education. This role is typically the first contact our patients and referral sources have with our company so exemplary teaching and customer service skills are a must!

We provide extensive and individualized attention to adequately address each patient's unique needs and lifestyle.


What You Will Do:

  • Ensure all data elements for orders are present prior to processing
  • Manage referral source relationships, assist in educating on ordering requirements 
  • Answer phone calls, address patient questions and concerns, follow up in a timely manner
  • Educate patients on equipment and services provided by the company
  • Act as a liaison to maintain and grow services in the hospital and adjacent medical offices


What You Need to be Successful in This Position:

  • Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent, College Degree is preferred 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • One year of general office experience is helpful

  • Is dedicated to meeting and exceeding customer needs
  • Can remain flexible to adapt to changing work conditions (there will be travel between Waukesha and other offices)
